REAL, FRUGAL, HEALTHY, and FUN!!!
These chips actually don’t taste anything like popcorn, but they sure look like it. When turned into chips, the tiny circles of carrot slices curl up into these adorable popcorn-like shapes. I have so many carrots, so I decided to go for something a little tangy with this first batch. I had limes and I’ve seen commercial chip brands use limes in their flavors, so I thought I’d go for it.
3 carrots, sliced into rounds
1 Tbsp butter, melted
Juice of 1 or 2 limes (for a stronger flavor use 2)
1 tsp salt
Directions: Preheat oven to 175′ and prepare cookie sheet. You can line it with parchments paper. I didn’t have parchment paper, so I used non-stick foil. In a plastic bag, place carrot slices, butter, lime juice, and salt. Shake vigorously. Spread evenly on cookie sheet. Allow to set in warm oven for 3 hours. Turn off oven, let set 1 more hour.
