Paleo 21 DSD Sweet Pumpkin Vinaigrette

As they say, the season of pumpkin everything is upon us.  In this 21 day sugar detox I’m doing, I’m able to have up to 1 cup of pumpkin and 1 green tipped banana each day.  I decided to tap into that and make this fun vinaigrette.  Actually, I’d stocked up on pumpkin because of the sugar detox and when I was looking through what I had to make a vinaigrette with, it caught my eye and I just had to create a pumpkin vinaigrette.  I wasn’t going to add the bit of banana initially, but it needed a hint of sweetness.

So the salad really wasn’t much of a recipe, here.  I was a little lazy, tonight.  I just grabbed 2 handfuls of salad greens, a boiled egg, and a strip of bacon.  I’m sure a more glamorous salad would be even better with this vinaigrette.


1/4 cup olive oil

1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

4 Tbsp pumpkin puree

1/2 green tipped banana, mashed

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp ginger

Directions: Throw all ingredients into your blende and let it run until smooth.  Pour over your salad and enjoy!
