Paleo Skillet Cake Brownie

This is a great treat for when you’re sitting down to a chic-flic in the evening, you’ve had a bad day, or maybe Aunt Flo just came.  Whatever the reason, if you’re a chocolate lover, this is for you!  This is rich, chocolaty, and yet not overly sweet.  It’s delicious, and oh so easy!


1 Tbsp coconut flour

1 Tbsp almond flour

1 Tbsp cocoa

1/8 tsp baking soda

1 egg

2 Tbsp coconut cream

1 Tbsp maple syrup

1 Tbsp unsweetened, shredded coconut or coconut chips

1 Tbsp chocolate chips

Directions: Mix coconut flour, almond flour, cocoa, and baking soda together.  Add egg, coconut cream, and maple syrup.  Mix well.  Pour into small, lightly greased skillet.  Sprinkle with shredded coconut (or coconut chips) and chocolate chips.  Heat to low/medium heat.  I kept mine at about a 3.  Let bake until it rises slightly and you can poke it in the middle to check for doneness. Enjoy warm.  You can also serve it with frozen banana ice cream.
