Wholesome Chocolate Chip Cookies

Wholesome chocolate chip
Delicious chocolate chip cookies made from wholesome ingredients.

I had a bad day today. I lost my cell phone. I’m pretty sure someone found it and has no intention of returning it.  Losing things always drives me crazy. When I feel down, I absolutely love chocolate. I decided to throw a batch of these yummy cookies in the oven to cheer myself up.

1/2 cup coconut flour

1/2 cup tapioca flour

1/2 cup ground flax

1/2 cup oatmeal

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup honey

2 eggs

3/4 cup dark chocolate chips

Directions: Preheat oven to 350′. Mix coconut flour, tapioca flour, oatmeal, ground flax, and baking soda. In a seperate bowl beat eggs, coconut oil, maple syrup and honey. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips. Form dough into small balls about 2″ apart and bake on parchment, waxed paper, or a greased cookie sheet for approximately 10 minutes.

These cookies are delicious straight from the oven. They are a great source of fiber, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and healthy fats. They support heart health and healthy digestion. The healthy fats from the flax and the coconut oil make these cookies very satisfying so you don’t over-indulge.

I had a request for recipes and food ideas.  I’m definitely an eye-baller when it comes to measuring, so I will try to get better about measuring so I can properly post my recipes.
