Killer Kettlebell!

Ok, so I go through phases with my workouts.  There’s lots of different ways to strength train.  Doing a split (working 1 or 2 body parts at a time), total body, and then there’s high weight – low reps, and there’s low weight – high reps.  You could get more technical, but that’s the general idea.  Well, I work out one way for a couple weeks or so, and then I change it up.  This is advised because it keeps your body guessing and gives you better results.  In all honesty, I switch it up because frankly, I get bored if I don’t.  I think that’s why some people stop working out.  They only workout one way, and then it gets monotonous.  They lose interest.  It gets boring.  If I really, really don’t want to do a certain workout, I don’t do it.  I find one that I want to do.  This keeps me going.  It keeps working out exciting, fun, and challenging.  This past week, I thought, kettlebells sure sound fun!  So, that’s what I’ve been doing.  I’m going to share a workout with you full of some of my favorite exercises.

With little to no breaks in between:

10 kettlebell swing (no squat, just thrust)

10 kettlebell swings with squat

10 kettlebell swings (no squat, just thrust)

10 kettlebell swings with squat

10 upright rows

10 squats with upright rows

10 upright rows

10 squats with upright rows

4 x 10 single-leg deadlifts (each leg)

4 x 10 shoulder press (each side)

4 x 10 goblet squats

4 x 10 bicep curls (each arm)

The idea is to turn on your tunes, get into it, and knock it out with no breaks.  However, listen to your body.  If you need to stop and rest, do so.  You can catch your breath and get right back to it.
